With the Beast from the East and Storm Emma causing chaos up and down the country and the county, it was a quiet weekend for the Harriers, with only the Anglesey Half Marathon on the race calendar.
4 Harriers made the trip to race on a cold day with athletes best performances unlikely due to the conditions making the achievements by the intrepid 4 all the more special. Philip Hayes (SM) continued his great form with a PB in 1:36:49, following on from his 10k PB last weekend. David Jones (M50) in his 2nd half marathon in 8 days, improved on his Wrexham time by 1 min 43 with a time of 1:46:58 in this considerably hillier half.
Daniel Schraibman (M45), rediscovering his form and completing his first half in 8 months, was delighted to finish in 1:48:43. Alaw Evans (SF) completed the quartet with a considerable PB of 1:51:25, knocking 11 mins 21 secs off her previous PB achieved at Abersoch last September.
