The light is fading, no doubt the rain, wind and cold will soon follow, so it must be time to get wet and muddy in the cross-country experience!  But let me sell this mad notion to you!

The North Wales & Shropshire Cross-Country League is the main team event in which the club participates. It is a series of 5 races, as listed below. Men and women run separately. The men must run about 10K and need to field a team of at least 6. The women run about 5K and need to field at least 3 runners.

All upcoming events and results can be found on the Bulletin Board

It is a very enjoyable experience, and we did very well last year with the women’s team winning their division and getting promoted. An important factor in this success, besides some brilliant running by some, was that we always fielded a full team.

The catch is that teams who are short (in numbers not stature) get very heavily penalised. So participation is vital, even if you do not feel at the top of your game and predict your time might not count.  On the day, YOUR run could make all the difference!

We meet at the Leisure Centre beforehand and share lifts, and it is lots of fun.  You don’t need to commit to a set number of races, just come when you can.

Looking forward to seeing you!
